About This Tour

We know that, for many, this is the trip of a lifetime, so we work hard to give you the best possible tour. We use the authority of the Bible, honest discussion about the sites we visit, and all the support we can provide to help you along the way.

This BASE Tour is distinctive because it offers:

  • More experts on the Bible, archaeology, and history than any other tours we know
  • More authentic sites, rather than traditional ones
  • More discussions of controversies concerning the Land and the Bible, such as how the Bible is used by archaeologists, dating methods, and the theories about the location of the Second Temple, Golgotha, etc.

With this tour, you will also be in Jerusalem for a Sabbath, or Shabbat, as well as Palm Sunday. You will arrive home just in time to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus with your church body—a fantastic ending to your expedition.

Each tour takes advantage of opportunities that arise once we are actually in Israel. Here is a list of some of the sites on our itinerary—so far.

In the north we will visit Caesarea Maritima, Tel Megiddo (overlooking Valley of Armageddon), Mt. Precipice, Magdala, Capernaum, the Jesus Boat, Caesarea Philippi, Tel Dan, and Tel Hazor. If you like, you will also have an opportunity to be baptized, or re-dedicated, in the Jordan River.

In the Jordan Valley region we will spend time exploring, Bet Shean, Qumran (Dead Sea Scrolls), Masada and En Gedi, the Herodian.

In Jerusalem, we investigate the Western Wall, the City of David excavation, Hezekiah’s Tunnel, the Pool of Siloam, Kidron Valley, and other recent discoveries surrounding the potential Second Temple location south of the traditional Temple Mount. We will also visit the Mount of Olives, the Garden Tomb, and the Shrine of the Book.

Those are only some of the exciting places we plan to visit. This truly is an extraordinary opportunity to learn and grow closer to the Lord.
