About This Tour

We know that, for many, this is the trip of a lifetime, so we work hard to give you the best possible tour. We use the authority of the Bible, honest discussion about the sites we visit, and all the support we can provide to help you along the way.

This BASE Tour is distinctive because it offers:

  • More experts on the Bible, archaeology, and history than any other tours we know
  • More authentic sites, rather than traditional ones
  • More discussions of controversies concerning the Land and the Bible, such as how the Bible is used by archaeologists, dating methods, and the theories about the location of the Second Temple, Golgotha, etc.

Itinerary

Each tour takes advantage of opportunities that arise once we are actually in Israel. Here is a list of some of the sites on our itinerary.

In the north we will visit Caesarea Maritima, Tel Megiddo, Gideon Springs, the Ancient Boat Museum, Magdala, Mount of Beatitudes, Capernaum, Tel Hazor, Tel Dan, Caesarea Phillippi, Mount Bental, and a place where you can be baptized in the Jordan River.

After Galilee, we will see Hammat Tiberias Synagogue, Beit She’an, and Bethel. In the Valley of Elah (think David and Goliath) we will visit an active excavation and have the archaeologist tell us about his important findings at Khirbet Qeiyafa.

In Jerusalem, we investigate the Western Wall, the City of David excavation, Hezekiah’s Tunnel, the Pool of Siloam, Kidron Valley, and other recent discoveries. We will also visit the Mount of Olives, the Garden Tomb, and the Shrine of the Book.

Those are only some of the great places we plan to visit, and you may be even more excited about some of those other ones (like Temple Zero and a site discovered and registered with the Antiquities Authority by Koinonia House and B.A.S.E Institute).

This truly is an extraordinary opportunity to learn and grow closer to the Lord.
